Image Source wanted us to create an engaging 'virtual world' whereby their customers could browse through all of the image galleries by entering this world. Once the user arrived they could choose a genre of imagery and then be pulled deeper in that particular environment. It had to be different, cutting edge, slick and database driven so they could update this on an ongoing basis at no extra cost.

SOLUTION

Our solution was to create a fluid & elastic 3D environment based on their brand look and feel. The user would enter this trendy minimalist world and could either navigate their different image genres by using the more obvious dynamic navigation bar, or 'explore' by click and zooming through each of the coloured discs (discs chosen because the user could buy the images on 'disc' (CD) at point of purchase). Once in their chosen genre, the user can search through the sea of image discs and these pop open to show all the included images when clicked.

RESULT

The outcome of this project was one that delighted the client and also one that we were really proud of. This website facilitated increased sales of the chosen CD collections and was the destination of a full HTML email campaign as well as other assorted direct marketing activity (web banners and direct print efforts). The fact that the images were loaded in via a database, meant that the client could keep the CD collections up to date and working for them without incurring any additional agency costs going forwards.
