BRIEF

We loved working on this project. The brief, as it was something we were taking on as an art project and not paid work, was refreshingly open! We were asked to create a compelling piece of animated illustration which could be played behind a voice over of extracts from the book of Genesis - Creation. We were also lucky enough to be provided with some excellent Drum and Bass to accompany our work.

SOLUTION

Our solution was to research our options in depth. We wanted to create something that would inspire the audience, be motivating and exciting for us to create and most of all, something that we could all enjoy and be proud of. We opted to incorporate a number of styles of illustration, typography and animation so that over the course of the 3 minute piece, the viewer wouldn't become bored with any particular style and we could keep them on their toes!

RESULT

Both our partner, ditto, and the Higher Ground team, were so proud of what we achieved on this project. We really enjoyed it when we presented our final concepts to the ditto management, but, we were all absolutely blown away when we were all invited to watch our piece (amongst others) on a giant plasma screen on the night of the performance at the Roundhouse in Camden. It was also broadcast as a live stream over the internet.
